The founder was deeply moved by a series of photographs documenting the lives of the elderly. In these images, frail seniors could be seen bending down to collect cardboard for a living, or curling up to rest briefly amidst stacks of cardboard. These visuals left a deep imprint on her heart and sparked her determination to take action.

She then began collecting surplus yet safe-to-eat food from the food and beverage industry, turning it into nutritious meals and distributing them free of charge to those in need. This compassionate idea, born from those images, took root in 2011 with the official establishment of Food Angel.
